We woke up this morning to the sound of the wind blowing – HARD!

The wind was/is whistling through the chimney and the trees around us are rapidly loosing their leaves.  This wind is blowing in straight from the north-west.  This wind always brings us clear skies.  This wind has blown away the fog that plagued us all week.  This wind will bring in the winter.   This Nor ‘ester!

We walked at Neck Point this morning.  The wind was blowing the piles of leaves into mini tornadoes.  Picking the leaves up; swirling and dancing them across the path to a different resting place.  The wind was blowing across the water and throwing huge waves and clouds of mist up over the rocks.

Despite of, or because of the clear skies, the wind is cold and therefore this is a good day to stay in and knit.  Or work on knitting and patterns.  I posted the Chihuly Chevron Gloves and Fingerless Mittens pattern onto Ravelry and Patternfish.  And I have almost finished writing a pattern – Hit Su Ji Helmet – knit out of Hisuji by Noro.

As, well, I have two new projects to plan out.  The projects for the retreat in February – Brioche and Lace.  The yarn for it arrived on Friday.  We will be using Fleece Artist Blue faced 2/8 or the “Fine” Blue Faced for the project.  I love the colours!

And a new tea-cosy for my new tea-pot.  I think that I will use the cascade 220 superwash worsted.  I just need to pick the colours!

Friends for dinner last night, Family for dinner tonight.  This has been a very social kind of weekend!  And a good cooking and baking weekend as a by-product.

Hope that you are having a great weekend as well.

Happy Knitting
