November Square – German Feather and Fan

German Feather and Fan

I love the curves and waves that the traditional Feather and Fan pattern creates.  This German version adds even more curves!

I highly recommend a sharp needle for the pattern as it makes it easier to knit 4 stitches together!

Materials: 21grs, Tracks, Turquoise; 3.25mm, US# 3 needles; cable hook.

Gauge: 28 sts in 4 inches in stockinet

Dimensions: 8inches by 8inches

Abbreviations: YO – yarn over; K4 tog – knit 4 stitches together;  SSSSK – slip 4 stitches from the left needle to the right needle.  Slip each stitch knitwise, one after the other.  Insert the left hand needle back across the fronts of the 4 slipped sts and then wrap the tip of the right hand needle and pull the new stitch through the 4 slipped sts.

I am up to 12 squares – I need 20 for my Blanket – I guess that I had better get cracking!

Random Thoughts and Minor Musing of another Knitter – compulsively addicted to the craft!
