Last Thursday Painting Class was great fun! We got to play with dyes and try out some new colour combinations. I got see how others approach their work and learned more about colours and dry brushing from Eileen. Eileen actually knows how to paint with water-colours and she has taught me a great deal! Lindsey created a small scarf for her sample project to paint – It was such a great idea that I wrote a little page about her project!
The pictures start with Eileen’s sample. It was created using a dry brush technique and a very light hand.
Next project is Renee’s Scarf. She added Beads and a few lace motif’s to her second half.
Jennifer had a time crunch and her scarf turned into a table runner. Jennifer brought a wall plaque with her that she used as inspiration for the curlicue pattern in the center of the runner.
Lindsey’s big stole – roses and colour! She brought the stole in on Monday – isn’t it beautiful! I can hardly wait to see the other projects all set and dried!
The last project is my second Leaf and Point Scarf. A real departure colour wise for me – and I tried to make a recognizable picture. I still have lots to learn!
Happy Knitting
