This was Dad’s Christmas present. You may note that he is a bit of a ham, but we had lots of fun working on the pictures for the pattern.

This is a very classic cabled toque, not too much happening just simple cables with strong lines. I hope that your Dad (or you) likes this toque just as much as my Father.

This cap will look small when first knit because of the ribbing, but it has great stretch.

Materials: approx 130 to 200 yds DK yarn, green sample, Heaven DK by the Buffalo Woo Co: blue sample Rowan Tweed DK; 3.5mm (4 US) 16 in circ; 4.0mm (#6 US) 16in circ and dpn’s; markers; cable hook and the regular notions.

Gauge: 22 sts to 4in in stockinet.

Sizes: This cap looks small because of the ribbing, but it has great stretch.  Small fits 18 – 20 inches, Medium/Large fits 20 to 22 inches and X-Large fits 22 to 24 inches. Samples shown are medium.
