These two pieces share common elements that are combined in different ways. Both pieces are heavily beaded. The focus is on edges and edgings; elements in the lace and edgings are either highlighted with beads or as with the shawl, beads and colour.
Beads of course could be omitted.

Materials: Scarf – Shorter version, not shown – 400m 4-ply yarn – Longer version – 475m 4-ply yarn, sample used Tosh Merino Light, Ms Taylor – 4mm needles, straight or circ plus dpn’s, 2100 size #8/0 beads, purple iris.
Wrap – 1250m + of lace weight yarn – sample used Sweet Georgia SeaSilk Lace, Raspberry 650m, Tumbled Stone 400m – 3.5mm needles straight or circ plus dpn’s, 1200 size #8/0 beads, aurora borealis (ab) clear, 1200 size #8/0 beads, ab pink .
Both projects require 3.5mm crochet hook, .60mm crochet hook and waste yarn for provisional crochet cast-on.
Gauge: Loose – Scarf, 18st to 4in in stockinet with 4.0mm needles. Wrap – 21 st to 4in in stockinet with 3.5mm needles.
Finished Dimensions: Blocked Scarf – 9.5 inches wide and 80, (88) inches long. Wrap – 23.5 inches wide and 71 inches long.
