200 size 8/0 beads. Beads are pre-strung and used in the first 6 rows. Cuff is knit flat and then connected into a round to continue the sock.
Heel can be traditional or cabled.
Omit the beaded cuff and start with ribbing – it makes a great man’s sock.
Materials: 2.25mm US #1 dp’s and approx 400m 425yds 4-ply sock yarn – the cabling technique requires more yardage than a plain sock. If you wish to make a larger sock than a ladies medium, plan for extra yardage. Sample was knit with Regia Silk 4-ply. You will also need 170 size 8 beads, 85 for each sock cuff, and a very small cabling needle.
