A couple of weeks ago we went for a walk in the woods.  Morrell Sanctuary was stunning that day.  It had rained heavily the day before and water sparkled on everything. There were more mushrooms than I had ever seen  before.  Leaves were dropping, drifting, swinging down from the maple trees like rain.

The ground underfoot was slick as we walked over the leaves.  The leaves “squelched” as we walked.
