The marine fog has been heavy this last week. It has lingered long into the morning, strong against the efforts of the fall sunshine.
It was still heavy this morning at Louden Park on Long Lake. The trees dripped with moisture as you walked beneath them. At times it felt like rainfall. Everything is greyed down – the only bright notes are the Maple leaves as they change colour.
There is a certain quiet in the fog.
Most sounds are muted but some sounds seem amplified – the water against rocks seemed to boom through the morning air. The bird calls across the water seem to echo out eerily.
But there is quiet in the fog.
Quiet Day
