This last week both Vogue Knitting and Malabrigo Yarns posted the lace shawl patterns that I had designed earlier in year for them. It is always exciting to see the shawls styled and photographed by professionals as it really brings the pieces to life.
The red shawl was knit with Zealana Air and is one of the shawls featured in Vogue Knitting Holiday 2013.
The Kenmare Shawl is in Malabrigo in Soho, Malabrigo book #5.
My son, his partner and my Dad came over for dinner this evening.
And no this is not the start of a funny joke – even though it sounds like one.
I asked my son or his partner if one of them would model my new toque – The HitSuJi Helmet! Imagine my surprise when my Dad said that he would like to model for me!
Introducing my father, at the start of his new career as male model!
“If I had know how easy it was to get into the business I would have tried it years ago!”
We learn something new about our family every day!
Happy Knitting

PS the helmet was knit using one ball of Hitsuji by Noro!
